KLuS two solitary crystal samples undoped and doped with a lower (5 %) or higher (38 %) concentration of trivalent thulium or ytterbium ions ended up synthesized in the form of slender hexagonal plates. The low phonon energy (??20 cm ???) was verified working with Raman spectroscopy. Samples were st
